Roberta trained in theatre in London and as a fight director with the Society of British Fight Directors. For the past 25 years she has worked out of Los Angeles as a fight director and sword master, where her screen credits include Charlie's Angels, Boudica, Warrior Queen, ER, Queen of Swords, The District, and The Hunted. Stage fight direction credits include Macbeth at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, Oman, Oh Man! with director/choreographer Debbie Allen at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the US premiere of the Original Pronunciation Hamlet at Nevada Repertory Company, and the Los Angeles premiere of Fortinbras. In Austria, Roberta choreographed the fights for eight seasons of Shakespeare in Styria and two seasons of Open House Theatre. Some of the actors she’s trained include Patricia Arquette, Emily Blunt, Alex Kingston, Thomas Kretschmann, Bo Derek, Hugo Speer, Goran Visnjic, and Lucy Liu. She’s taught stage combat at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, the Howard Fine Studio, Beverly Hills Fencers Club, Teatro Lope de Vega, and Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
