
Peter Steele
Pete is an actor, puppeteer, and theatre-maker from West Sussex, England.He studied Theatre at Aberystwyth University in Wales, trained as anactor at Drama Studio London, and developed his puppetry skills at theLittle Angel Theatre in London.Since living in Vienna his stage work has seen him playing Lord Goringin *An Ideal Husband*, Tybalt in *Romeo & Juliet*, and multiplecharacters in*Dracula:The Journal of Jonathan Harker (all with Open House Theatre),*Ferdinand in *The Duchess of Malfi* (Wide Open Vienna/Open HouseTheatre), Eugene O’Neill in*N* (Vienna Theatre Project), and Jim in *The Glass Menagerie*(Vienna’s English Theatre). In the UK, he performed in the West End production of *Room on the Broom* at the Lyric Theatre, and appeared in *A Midsummer Night’sDream* (Southwark Playhouse), *Spike* (King’s Head Theatre), *Just SoStories* (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre), *House of Sock* (Wilton’s MusicHall), *Blue* (Park Theatre), and toured nationally with various productions.In addition to his acting work, he has written, produced, and directedthree award-winning puppetry films: *The Bird*, *ROY*, and *TheScaryglow. **TheBird* premiered at the Irish Film Institute in 2021. He also designsand builds puppets, and regularly delivers theatre and puppetry workshops.
