
Ricky McMurry
Ricky was born in Dallas, Texas, and lived in the United States until he graduated from Beloit College with a degree in directing and playwriting in 2018. After that, he moved to Vienna and became a member of Open House Theatre. He has worked on many of their productions including Viel Lärm um Nichts, Zwei Haare auf der Brust, The Effect, multiple iterations of A Christmas Carol, and Apartment 3A as well as writing their adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In addition, he works as a script consultant and is now venturing into the field of American accent training. Earlier this year, Ricky also became the Head Writer and Executive Producer of A Drinking Game Vienna. Most recently, he directed Open House Theatre’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk, co-directed Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker, and co-directed the 2024 production of Romeo and Juliet.
